Painted Steel

The icon release: the whole game learns to speak WC3.

  • 342 painted ability icons — every action, reaction, support, movement and status has WoW/WC3-register art, framed at draw time by its LIVE rarity (a balance retune re-frames an icon with zero art edits).
  • The command card is an icon grid: hotkey, MP cost (red when you can't pay), charge time and per-battle uses on each slot; hover leads with the spell's name and exactly what it does; un-castable slots grey out but keep explaining themselves. Attack & Defend pin to slots 1-2 in their own dark-iron frame. SUB skills get their own grid under a divider. A jackpot's full catalog grows the card upward — no scrollbar.
  • MOVE / WAIT / UNDO are icon buttons, and the verb still open this turn wears a gold rim — no more hunting for MOVE.
  • The basic Attack wears your rolled weapon: 19 weapon-class variants — a dancer whips silk, a gunner fires a flintlock. And yes, the arrows now point the right way.
  • Painted status tiles over heads (same small footprint) with category frames — green buff, red debuff — and unit-card pills that state the effect, the remaining turns, and the cure on hover.
  • The unit card names its player: your account name headlines in team colour with your equipped epithet beside it; the calling and sub-class move to the line below.
  • Icons across every screen: the roll ceremony's skill rows, the Codex, and the unit sheet all lead with their painted art.
  • The facing pick is point-to-face: your unit follows the cursor; any board click locks it in and passes the turn.
  • Reaction retune: most reactions now trigger at HALF their stat (Brave or Faith by family) — instinct kits read half Brave, arcane kits half Faith — and the flank pays in accuracy: the side bonus is gone from damage, back attacks land ×1.3.
  • Stacked spells take the stage one at a time — simultaneous cast resolutions now play in sequence instead of on top of each other.
  • Fixes: the final blow names its killer (poison-tick KOs included) and every seat leaves with spoils; pins that pin, pools that stock, swings that reach; Spell Echo says what it would copy before you commit it.
