Truer Aim
The battle-audit build: fixes surfaced by the 2,000-battle forensic run, a lighter download, and the unit-sheet reading pass.
- The AI aims Line abilities only where they actually sweep — 62% of every whiff in the game was a bot mis-aiming one of the seven Line arts; whiffs across all matches roughly HALVED.
- Spell Echo pays its dues: an echo spends the use it copies (no re-firing a spent Steal Crowns), ultimates can never be echoed, and the HUD now says what an Echo would copy before you commit it.
- Destroyed gear stays destroyed — a Break art strips the item's perks and grants along with its numbers; and a fizzled Jump always brings the dragoon back down (no more permanently airborne, untargetable units).
- A summoner pays half, and the screen finally knows it — cost labels now show the innate half-MP price the engine was already charging.
- Unit sheet reading pass: R/S/M passives sit on the identity line with hover descriptions, both jobs' kits render as columns with per-skill hover, and the universal rows stop cluttering the kit.
- Targeting: the pointer moves the tile cursor, and an AoE blast names exactly who is inside it.
- Balance — Dragoon: Impale pays for its pierce: power 11/0 MP/0 CT becomes 9/4 MP/1 CT.
- Portraits: matte pass — paper texture restored on the plains portraits, halo edges removed from the keyed cuts.
- Download size: the in-progress 19-unit 3D catalog now ships in the repo but not in the build — the client zip returns to its normal size.
- Animation groundwork: the three unmined KayKit clip sets are merged into the shared library (65 clips → 118).
- Codex: formula lines no longer contradict the art rules they describe.
Versions track the v0.x.y-dev tags. Entries group work by what a player or
developer would actually notice, not by commit boundaries — several commits
often land one feature, and on busy days several agents commit in parallel.
