See Through
Aim through the scenery
The boards now carry genuinely tall things — trees, crags, crypt walls, waterfall sheets — and a tall thing between the camera and the tile you are aiming at used to hide the cursor, the highlight and the target. Now anything standing on the sightline to the hovered tile fades to about a quarter visible until you look elsewhere, and props standing on the hovered tile itself fade with it, so the cursor is always readable. The keyboard cursor gets the same treatment as the mouse — same intent, same fade.
Clicking through scenery already worked (props never blocked the picking ray); this makes seeing match clicking. Faded via per-instance transparency, never material alpha — the props share atlas materials per pack, and a material edit would ghost every prop on the board at once.
You can no longer Attack your own tile
A playtest log had an Eidolon Caller aim Attack at the tile they were standing on and hit themself for 12 — narrated "from BEHIND ×1.5", which is the game rating the summoner's ambush on the summoner. A single-target physical strike now refuses its own wielder: the aim comes back "no valid target" with nothing spent, exactly like pointing a curse at an ally. Everything Joe's rule protects still works — Potion yourself, Defend yourself, and a blast centred on your own feet still catches (and still singes) you. The targeting highlight stops offering your own tile for strikes too, including a self-aimed Jump, which was always a charged turn spent leaping straight up to hit nobody.
The hit% dice were audited — they're honest
That same log had one Salamander miss BOTH knights at a stated 95%, plus basic attacks missing at 95 and 89, which fairly raises the question of whether the displayed chance is the rolled chance. Audited end to end: it is. One roll per target, the miss event prints the exact number it rolled against, and AoE targets each roll their own die (the double-miss was the genuine 1-in-400). What made it FEEL rigged is that only misses print their chance — the dozen ~95% hits in the same log said nothing. This is now pinned by measured tests: 2,000 casts must land within 2.5 points of the stated chance, and a blast's targets must visibly share no die. Both were verified by temporarily rigging the dice and watching the tests catch it.
The end screen fits its content again
The results board went back to its original 940 width. The stacked one-team-per-row layout stays — that was the fix for kit lines wrapping — but at 1440 wide a third of the screen was empty panel to the right of the text. The height rule (no more scrolling the board inside its own box) is untouched.
