Menagerie
Your companion is a creature now
The four companions were flat silhouettes. They are rigged, animated monsters that idle beside your unit: a Cellar Toadstool, a Gallows Bat, a Corpse Candle and a Wyrmling. If you already bought one you still own it — only the name and the art changed.
The store shows the actual creature too, rendered from the model, so a card can no longer advertise a rat and hand you a toadstool.
Titles know their place
The space above a unit's head is where the game tells you things — statuses, the charge hourglass, the death clock, whose turn it is. The new title emblem was sitting right in the middle of it.
Now information owns fixed heights and the emblem is the only thing that moves: it parks clear above whatever that unit actually has overhead, draws behind all of it, and hides completely while a death clock is ticking. A quiet unit wears its title low; a unit that is charging and taking its turn wears it high and out of the way.
Gunners hold guns, bards hold lutes
Four weapon classes had no art at all, so a gunner drew a sword and a bard carried a staff. Three are now filled — guns (a pistol, then a shotgun, a rifle, and an axe-rifle at the top), the lute, and bags. Only war-cloths are still unrepresented.
Death crystals are gems
The crystal a fallen unit leaves behind was two cones. It is a cut gem now — blue for blue, pink for red, so you can still tell at a glance whose unit fell.
The store stops lying about prices
Twenty-seven earned titles were displaying "BUY ⟐ 0" beside a button the server always refused. They now name the deed that earns them instead.
And price follows rarity: 200 / 400 / 800 / 1600, doubling each tier. It had drifted badly — a legendary epithet cost 500 while an uncommon title cost 700, so the tier colour on a card told you nothing about the price.
Also in this build
- Item icons for all 241 pieces of gear, on every screen that names one.
- The unit sheet describes both hands when you dual-wield, leads with reach, and prints the real tuned numbers from the engine rather than estimates.
- A stun costs the turn, a disabler breaks the charge, and every forecast states its odds.
